Southern Latitude Olympic Weightlifting
Welcome to Southern Latitude Olympic Weightlifting!
Andy Rodgers has over 15 years experience in Olympic weightlifting. Starting at high school, he quickly progressed from secondary schools champion through to Junior Commonwealths, Junior Olympics and the Oceania Championships.
Searching for something new he discovered CrossFit and used his Olympic lifting skills to win or place at many premier events. CrossFit victories include firsts in the Pound 4 Pound, Two 2 Tango, Playoffs and at the CrossFit Regionals. Andy’s love for the sport lead to a degree in coaching and into mentoring CrossFit Regional and Games athletes.
He has also coached Commonwealth Games weightlifters, the Secondary School Championship winning team and last year’s best senior male, Michael Walker.
Southern Latitude Olympic Weightlifting was created to open weightlifting to the general public and to help them improve their technique, strength, breathing and all other aspects of this tremendous sport.
Using online coaching, programming, coaching clinics, secondary schools training, athlete group and one on one training, Andy knows exactly how to get the best out of your weightlifting.
